Why I ( The Openposting.com Team) created this site ? Just a bit of background just in case you’re interested:

Well it started out with craigslist. I really like the site. As I a matter of fact, I met my girlfriend through craigslist (she was my roommate) What a great site isn’t it? However, I have only one complaint: as much as I really like craigslist, I found it to be a bit disorganized; don’t you think? And then, there’s Ebay…. who charges for classifieds?? That’s crazy don’t you think? So with that, I envisioned creating a FREE on-line classified plus community on-line bulletin board that is search and posting friendly. Oh yes, and highly organized too. I wanted to have the ability for people to type in any zip-code in the U.S. and find exactly what they’re looking for.. whether it’s a book, a significant other, a new job or car, or even a babysitter.

So then last year, I enrolled in the University of Maryland at Baltimore County’s master of information system program (yep, a computer geek) and had to apply the same programming concept as openposting.com for a class project. So here it is..after 1 year’s work openposting.com is now delivered to you. I hope you find openposting.com useful. Please keep in mind that’s it’s a work-in-progress, and any suggestions, feedback, and/or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Oh yes, and one last thing. I almost forgot about MySpace……which is kinda cool too. I have a profile on there just in case you’re interested: wan1980. So then I thought, well, why not combine my classifieds and community site with a “let’s make new friends” type of site all in one …….. ?? So that’s what I’m working on right now. Stay tuned….there will be more to come soon ……
